So you are searching for some options on wedding first dance songs? You are looking for that one song that the two of you will always remember as "your wedding song".
Of course there are many classic first dance songs in many different genres that you can choose from. Have a look at our 100+ Wedding First Dance Songs for some ideas on those choices.
The following list of songs are a few great choices if you are looking for something a little more off the beaten track, but that is still really romantic and that has lyrics that are appropriate for a first dance.
This is a truly sweet song by this brother and sister duo from Australia. The words are just really beautiful and fitting and makes this one of those perfect wedding first dance songs.
It is available on the Itunes Australia store and a cover version is available for free here.
Ray just has an amazing voice and this is a really special song in my opinion. Here are some of the key lyrics:
"All of this around us'll fall over
I tell you what we're gonna do
You will shelter me my love
And I will shelter you
I will shelter you"
A lovely, almost melancholic song for lovers of Indie music:
This guy just has the most amazing voice ever and this is a truly beautiful song as far as wedding first dance songs go.
Here are some of the key lyrics:
"Darling you're with me, always around me.
Only love, only love.
Darling I feel you, under my body.
Only love, only love.
Give me shelter, or show me heart
Come on love, come on love.
Watch me fall apart, watch me fall apart.
And I'll be yours to keep."
I am sure most of you have heard of Jack Johnson, but I had to include this lovely little song here as it is not overused and is really appropriate and romantic. It is also nice and short, so is perfect if you are shy dancers.
What a lovely little song! Cute and kind of up beat at the same time.
A song that says it does not matter what happens in life, you will be there for each other.
Some of the key lyrics to this beautiful song:
"Moon pours through the ceiling tonight
Embraces us tight
Shows me we're right for each other
And as we lie here and let the world fade away
The sunrise tries to end it while we try to stay"
I really wanted to make this a list of 10 wedding first dance songs that were original, romantic and not overused. I had a few more candidates for numbers 9 and 10, but thought I would see if anyone could suggest something that would really make this list something special.
If you know of a song that you think should be on this list, then leave me a message below please.
